You will safely discover the different techniques of ice climbing throughout several climbs. Enjoy the pleasures of winter in one of the most beautiful sites, the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency.

The course includes :
  • Seven hours of learning activities and supervised practice
  • Basic equipment (harness, carabiner, ATC, rope, ice axe and crampons)
  • Level one Ice Climbing Certification
  • Certification fees at Roc Gyms

Content :
  • General briefing
  • Installation of the equipment
  • Body positioning and the basic movements
  • Tying knots
  • Belaying techniques
  • Vocabulary and safety
  • Several supervised climbs

What to brings :
  • Warm clothing (several layers)
  • Two pairs of gloves or mittens
  • Ice climbing or skiing boots *
  • Lunch (avoid food that can freeze easily, such as fruits and vegetables)
  • Energy snack and beverage
  • Sunglasses or ski goggles (optional)
  • Camera (optional)

Schedule :
Saturday and Sunday: full-day 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Available on weekdays for groups of 4 or more participants.
